I'm back in ontario now but i'm shocked that Vancouver's Opsal Steel building isn't in the DB.

I only have street art shots of the inside. any chance anyone has some photos of Opsal that they could throw up here, or email me?

I wanna put a blog post together but i need a little help. anyone?

if you don't know by now, this is me...

I was under the impression that it's completely gone now.

It was being rebuilt within the framework of the original walls when i was there last in March.

Opsal is gone, down to the bare ground now I think. Lots of photos on Flickr from before and during demolition, and current status. Surely you must know some of the other writers/photogs who've been inside? I have some of the same sorta artsy stuff that's easily found.

For the record, before too many people get as pissed off about this demolition as I very recently was, this is not the end of Opsal Steel.

The development of the site called for two rather tall residential towers on either end of the Opsal Steel building, something that demands a significant amount of ground preparation. The materials of the heritage building were carefully itemized and tagged (the salvagable parts anyways) and the entire structure was deconstructed. It will be put back together on its footprint in due time.

Not a procedure I agree with, but at the least I'm thankful it wasn't wiped from the earth outright, like so many other worthy heritage sites.
