This was my first time to this location but I'm close enough to go daily so more to come.
Last year this place caught on fire, the fire lasted four days and they had to partially raze the place to put the fire out. The EPA is about to go in and rid this place of asbestos and anhydrous ammonia in four weeks so I decided to take a few photos before they go in and tear out a lot of this place. I did not explore this place fully for a few reasons. Reason #1, I'm still a rookie when it comes to places like this so a partially razed, asbestos filled building is not the place for a lone rookie explorer such as myself. Reason two, I only had a little dust mask and really didn't feel like messing around with asbestos. The cleanup is supposed to take four to eight weeks so that’s when I'll return to see what they did to the place.

I wasn't there long at all, the first time I drove by there was a black SUV in the parking lot. I'm not sure who or what they were doing but they just sat for 15+ minutes. May have been just some lookie lous but it wasn't a good start for me. After they left I decided it was my chance to drive up in there so I went for it but as I started into the parking lot a neighbor (house is so close to the place) came outside and sat on her front porch. Now she and another neighbor have a great view of this place so I just acted like I didn't notice her. It felt weird driving in there with her watching me but I'm sure she’s used to seeing vehicles come and go because some buildings are still used to store stuff.
Anyways enough typing here are a few pics, I'll be back for more, this was a quick get to know the land kind of mission: Sorry about the contrast of the photos:

I'll go back before the cleanup if I can find someone to come with and learn a little more about asbestos.
