Old marina/warehouse in Cleveland

While I was on vacation in Cleveland, Ohio I explored a few locations and reconnoitered a few more for possible future exploration either during this Christmas time or next summer. This location is an old marina and warehouse along the Cuyahoga River. I can't really do a lot of "real" UE where I live now so I decided to start checking out some locations when I'm on vacation in Cleveland, which is where I'm originally from. From the research I did on this location it may be torn down soon to make way for condos and a new marina, however, given the current state of the economy, who knows.

Even though I've been on the board for years, I consider this my first "real" UE type post. I've posted some sample pictures below, but there are more, plus some add'l background and historical info on my Flickr page here: http://www.flickr....72157627229331644/ I did a search to see if this was already posted in the forums, but it didn't turn it up on any of the keywords I tried, however, I don't know if its in the database already since I don't have full access yet.

Enjoy!

Jeff

It was tough to get an overall view of the building, this is the best I could get without giving away the POE to the property.

Attn: Fellow UE'er, if you're missing your keys, here they are.

Eyewash station.

Note: Cleveland Cold Storage in the background, it was completely torn down as of July 16th.

Cool! I've been all through the Flats and never found any abandonments. I guess this one slipped by.

Ive always wondered what that big building was. Ive driven past it numerous times while they were tearing it down. one time it was like 2 am and I could swear i saw a guy just sitting on the edge.

In case anyone wanted to see more of the Cleveland Cold Storage building under demolition, I uploaded the shots I took on July 10th and 16th to my Flickr account, below is the link and one of the pictures I took.

I think I might have run into other explorers on the 10th who may have actually went into the building, however, due to the hanging slabs of concrete and the other interior demolition that appeared to have taken place, I decided against entry.
