Spent a couple days this past week out in the Nevada desert and mountains hiking to some abandoned mine sites. This video features the scenic Blue Dick Mine, the Boston Tonopah Mine, and some unnamed mine sites near Lida, NV.

It's pretty obvious what they were mining for and what tools they used to do it. Miners get lonely man. Sure beats a mule.

Did you take the man way to the glory hole. Were there any vertical shafts? Was that the rear entrance you penetrated.
