It was early 1996 when I first saw her. Me, fresh off a 20 month stint in the Y/O bing, walking east toward a court mandated AA meeting. Her, sitting in the window of a donut store, glowing with a beauty I never knew existed. I was instantly drawn inside and was pleased to discover that she was sitting with acquaintances of mine. I approached and the following words leaped out of my mouth before I had even considered a move.
"We are going to spend the rest of our lives together."
Somehow, I just knew it.
Here we are over 15 years later exploring an abandoned donut store and celebrating the gift of true love that we have been blessed with.

| | | | Jerm, that first photograph is really nicely done. You should keep an eye out for other opportunities where you can capture interior geometry in this kind of worryingly surreal way---you could build an important series out of frames like that one.

I used to drive around Toronto, York, Durham, Northumberland and the City of Kawartha Lakes aimlessly and find a lot of stuff. Now I let the younger explorers like jerm IX do it and they do it very well indeed.
