The old state school in Austin. I know where it is. Easy to access? Anyone been there lately?

Am I trying too hard to not be too obvious?

From what I've gathered there's still an active school on the campus. The only thing that's kept me from checking it out is not having a car.

I would imagine they seal the buildings up pretty well so they don't have any 7-year-olds wandering off into an old building and turning into a liability.

I guess I should probably write something down here.

Very sealed up, and there are people that live on the property as well. If you drive in when the gate is open, it will most likely be closed when you try to drive out. :/

I'd be willing to bet they still aren't using the group homes on the back side of the property or the old pig farm on the low side of the hill near the prison but like what has already been said, they have been keeping a much closer watch on things in recent years. It's far enough out there that parking is a problem but with bikes, it's still possible. I haven't been inside the gates in at least a year so take what I say for what it is.

I don't think I have the information anymore but if you drive up to the admin building during business hours and ask to speak with the person in charge, they may actually let you walk around. I've done it before.

Been there several times, not too long ago either. I'd go with Rev's suggestion.
