| | Bomb Shelter? < on 6/21/2011 12:59 AM >
| | | This is on top of Walden Ridge near Oliver Springs, TN. I've been told a portion of the Cumberland Trail runs over the top of it, but I think the Cumberland Trail takes a different route now.
From what I have found out it was built by a scientist working in Oak Ridge who wrote some books and scientific papers on surviving nuclear war.
Does anyone have any information about this place?

| | | There's an awful lot of sunlight getting in there for a bomb shelter. I guess if it was just to protect from fallout it might be useful. I have no info about this particular site, though.

| | | Great stuff is it well known? Where was the power source did the guy have a generator, and I wonder where his source of water was from he must have had some kind of purification system? since this is in the mid Atlantic I am guessing that spider is a Wolf spider.

I don't know what they were planning for power or water, I did see some busted up concrete pipes near by but they didnt look like they went anywhere.
