|  | | | An Urb-Ex partner of mine - nunyrdambizness - and I went here on a whim to do a little recon work. We saw shots of some of the interiors, particularly the theater, and it really motivated us to get here.
Sad to say, it was a poor recon.
Blunder #1: We parked in the huge security lot; mainly because we were lazy & didn't want to hike from town... that was a bad idea. We came back after the trek to find a police business card on the car. I guess it could've been worse... the car could've been towed or had a ticket on it. Point taken.
Blunder #2: Not bringing any flashlights or interior gear. We found a very simple entry point on one of the longer buildings, and the staff quarters along the perimeter, but no flashlights meant no access to the inside. Camera flashes can only help for so long. Another EP may have been accessible were we intelligent enough to try out a rope ladder or get resourceful with any latent junk laying around.
Blunder #3: Poor prelim research. All of my research was over a year old. The aerials were accurate, but the information about construction had come and gone. It looks like they've given up on reconstruction... at least for now. We also didn't look really hard for nice access roads; which probably led to Blunder #1.
Blunder #4: Using time wisely. We really spent a lot of time travelling from building to building, but didn't search well for EPs. I have a feeling we missed a few considering other posts of people getting in with relative ease. But this blunder wasn't too terrible; it just means more leg-work next time, and less of a stream-lined trip.
I hate to be an EP douche, but if anyone knows some for this site you'll be doing me a big favor time-wise. (This place isn't exactly around the corner.)

Also insulinguy; we tried using the info you sent for the way out; no go. Either we missed the exit entirely, or the info may have been false. I have yet to start in town, so maybe we'd have to do that to find the EP your contact spoke of. But one things for sure... that's a steep hill.

nice shot i like this a lot, and cool story. Pictures came out well, nice set man, seems people around MD are having better luck than i am (with finding places and getting good pictures) -.-

I've found a bunch of spots out here in WC but getting to them is a real bitch with nowhere to park except like five miles down the road.

same issue here, every time i go to park somewhere either there is security, police or some irritating 'good citizen' that gets close, and seeings how i'm always alone i am not really motivated to chance it after that

Try that hill in the middle of winter with a fresh layer of hard pack snow... now that was fun... and also my first explore and an amazing day.
