another sydney drain

i found this one when i was snoopin around near my old work one morning that i was early.
i went for a closer look, slipped and ended up an my arse in the concrete creek at the end of it.so i had a wet and sore day that day.
i finally got back there to explore it a few weeks ago.
a few friends and i went thru half of it before we had to go meet at another drain.
sorry i dont know the name of it, if it even has one.

Yep it is Diode Dox, has an upsteam exit from the man hole in a vacant fenced off yard near the freeway. Thought it was Diode Dox, then saw the wash genitals sign which gives it away lol. Did you head downstream for a bit? nice big drain Gobble Dox. usually do them together, start Gobble dox, follow canal through Gravel Sox (I think thats its name) then Diode dox

Gobble Gobble.

Really nice drain that one.
Also went to do gravel but didn't go through it cause of the tides.

yes we drove around to gobbledox so i could show the others the size of it but i didnt walk the whole thing, other than its size i dont find it so impressive.
i havnt tried following the canal(upstream from gobbledox)too far after it goes underground again at the freeway,it was pretty low and i figured it just got smaller.
there is also a round pipe going under the freeway just near diode dox,i havnt gone thru it but i think it may lead to a very small pipe u can crawl thru on the other side next to a phone tower or electricity kiosk from memory?

Its short and not really interesting, have only looked into that one. Think that is the one that comes out in a little basin next to the freeway.

So gravel sox is the one further downstream from Gobbledox, whats the low one not far upstream?

the one you can see from the footpath along the freeway looking down an embankment ? that's curliettedox, often a place where little parties are held and often painted, although recently council went in and cleaned it all out.

only a short little system under the freeway but a cool little spot nonetheless.

yeh the outfall is at the water and it runs under the park as three parallel tunnels of equal size and length, the middle one i think has a covered pipe running along half way through the middle and all of them end with pillars towards the outfall covered with barnacles.

easier to enter from the u/s end, not very exciting but i've been through worse and it's walking height once you get past the banked up silt at the entry

Mullet-dox is in that canal also I think. Always get confused which is Diode and Mullet dox's. Curliettedox and Gobbledox are easy to pick. Sucks regarding the cleaning of Curliette-dox - mad place to chill out.

First is the one I was referring to, think it is Mullet Dox

Second one is Gravel Sox by the look of it, I used to think that it was the other way around
