I did wind up finding exactly ONE abandoned house *Pics to come when I return to a place with a connection measured in MB/second) The is like nothing here, just sadness and pine pollen.

Is that snow or asbestos?

Are you in a bar, building, or jail cell? / You have a freak flag. You just don't fly it.

I love me a good graph comment!

“Somewhere the saving and putting away had to begin again and someone had to do the saving and the keeping, one way or another, in books, in records, in people’s heads, any way at all so long as it was safe, free from moths, silverfish, rust and dry-rot, and men with matches.”

I know your pain. i used to go with my family up to cable, and the only internet i could get was sitting on the dock with a cantenna. and no phone reception at, and 1 tv station. Fishing Is the only thing to do. Thankfully i have a job now.

I'm up in that area every day for work. Minocqua/Rhinelander/Eagle river are all actually very small towns, but have become massive tourist traps. There really isn't anything in these places, unfortunately.

Most everything up there gets gobbled up by developers and shredded very quickly, to be turned into another condo complex or gift shop of some kind.

If you can make it down to Wausau, there is a bit more to do. Its a very interesting city to explore even on a surface level.

There are some things around Stevens Point that have some potential, but I haven't had time to get into exploring them yet. Still, some pretty cool architecture to photograph (which reminds me, I need to put my 3 day weekend to good use tomorrow and go photo tagging).

Most of the good stuff in Wisconsin is in Green Bay, Milwaukee, and LaCrosse to a point.

I'm going to guess you have AT&T cell? I feel your pain. Edge blows when trying to do anything up there. There are a few places downtown with Wifi, such as the coffee shops.
