Phelonius, Johnie Walker, Binjuice, their partners and I decided to do the tram sheds around the corner from the power station after exploring it at the open day. These are some of my pics

Gets worse every time I see this place, used to be in almost perfect condition once, the trams looked almost restored the first time I went there, sad to see them that way now. Have seen there is plans for this place now and it wont be around much longer, but then again they have said it before too.

How was the power station tour? They had one not that long ago too

Phelonius found some plans at the site but I'm not sure if they were for the sheds or not. I just wish people in Sydney would repurpose buildings instead of demolishing everything. So much history has been lost due to greed and stupidity. Perfect example is the world square site. I'll get off my soapbox now *giggle*

I didn't mind it, loads of people though so that kinda takes away from the fun of it all. I got there super early though so I managed to get around without running into too many people but by 12, it was pretty full. Apparently they are planning further tours.

This was a good day was weird seeing all the people in there, from what i had heard there where serious penalties for being caught in there.

I shall post my photos up as soon as i get home from work.

I love number 2. It was great to see the insides were mostly intact considering all the graffiti.

This place is the next dunlop factory.

Over exposed, over shot and completely fucked.

Not having a crack at you guys but this is a prime example of why spots should be kept within the community.

It might not have saved the tram sheds but it will no doubt save your favorite location when you find it.

Thanks binjuice. I was surprised at how comfortable the seats were. It is a shame that the craftsmanship and work have gone out of fashion in public areas. Would be interesting to see trams restored and back in use.

Maybe have a line that runs vintage trains for the experience, or out on a special holidays.

I was there back in May and there was an indy film being shot in one area, bikers running around all over the place, and a group of annoying twelveteen year olds blasting dance hits from a ghetto blaster. It was really annoying.

Thanks! I could have spent a few more hours walking around and found more great shots like that. Never know what you will find when you look at something from a different angle.

I recently got a shot I took from this spot published in a Canadian infrastructure magazine. If you go here (http://neilta.ca/editorial_commercial/) it's the second photo. It doesn't look too great as it's a converted PDF, but I am told the original looks real nice...and it's on a double page spread.

I remember that day you had asked me on flickr about places in Melbourne, then you told me you're going to the Sydney tram sheds. Awesome shot!

Once things get political, they want us to stop shooting and start dancing.
I don't dance.
