What do you think the chances are of one of those home owners allowing you to poke around? Thought about asking them?

It all depends on who the owners are. I grew up around this area and with myself of my family know quite a few people, if they have any kind of rapport with them, I might be able to work something out. I originally thought it was on a persons property that I went to school with, but it's further away from them. I'll do some checking...

Here's a picture of the property. It's still classified of government property which makes the taxes really cheap for the property owner, but it doesn't look like there is much to see there :(

This is the one that I visited a month or so ago. It was the most accessible one close to me. Unfortunately my aerials are limited to Sumner County, but still have some pretty good resolution.

This is the Oxford site correct? The one 1/2 way between Wellington and Oxford on the north side of the highway?

I grew up in Arkansas City so I know the area well also. I do not know people in those rural areas though. I just wonder if the people who own these properties know that this stuff is buried in their property.

I am interested in the idea of talking to the owners with you and asking about possibly getting into these.

Yeah that is the one. I looked up the owner information and the name doesn't sound familiar.
Do you know if they just closed up the entrances around here or blew up the entire thing inside?

I am pretty sure they were just sealed off. If anything was destroyed it would have been the silo, leaving everything else still there.
I don't know though.

There are 12 Atlas F sites around Salina:

My old bosses' dad used to do security or something for all the ones in sumner county, but I don't believe he's still alive. Will see if I can get a hold of him and see if he knows anything.
