Rochester / Minneapolis trip

I've been trying like crazy to make it up to Minneapolis for about two years and my plans keep getting thwarted by various things...but I think I will finally make it this summer!

My juggling partner and I are headed up to the International Jugglers Association Festival in Rochester, MN for a week, and then we're hoping to spend a week exploring in Minneapolis.

So I'll be in Rochester 7/18 through 7/24 and Minneapolis in the range of about 7/24 through 7/28. Anyone interested in hanging out and exploring in either of those cities during that time?

I'll also be passing through Lexington, KY, Loisville, KY, Indianapolis, IN, Rockford, IL, Madison, WI, La Crosse, MN, and Eau Claire, WI.

cool. I'm game, and there'll be other locals most likely. Send a PM a week or two before you get in. I think some of us are going to infiniapolis on the 28th or 29th though...

If you want to protect the locations you love to explore, don't talk about them online in public!
If you want to make exploring friends, send people private messages! Meet up in real life! Get off the internet!
Don't try to have a UER e-penis! You won't impress anyone! This especially means you, Minneapolis MN newbies!

I might be up for that as well. There's a couple places here in Madison that I'd like to visit and there are a couple more that I've already been to. Like Mario said, PM me a couple weeks ahead of time and we'll see what we can do.

I may or may not be around. Just getting back from the desert trip and its been a long 3 months peeping the truck. Let me know closer to when you're coming through. On a side note, LaCrosse is actually in WI, it just touches MN. So we are still allowed to drink 25/7. That's where you stay up drinking til it's tomorrow.

I drink gasoline for breakfeast and beer for dinner!

Yo! Sorry for the slow reply.

I'll be in South Bend, IN while you'll be in Minnesota, but maybe I can still help. Regarding the other cities, I've been in most of them on different exploring trips and have some recommendations:

Louisville:
1.) Louisville Industrial Park
Cool power house with antique steam and generating hardware in abandoned industrial park with various old industrial buildings that are mostly empty. 38°13'57.00"N 85°47'5.18"W

2.) Paddy's Run Station
My biggest regret from Louisville is not getting up to this place. I'm pretty sure it's in longterm standby.
38°13'15.74"N 85°50'45.74"W

3.) Silvercrest Sanatorium
Abandoned TB hospital across the river, very pretty inside.
38°17'43.29"N 85°50'49.46"W

4.) Logan Street
Lots of abandoned factories and cold storages here, big, somewhat boring, but the roof views are awesome!
38°14'34.57"N 85°44'16.87"W

Indianapolis:

1.) Indy Coke, yo 39°45'17.58"N 86° 6'47.20"W

2.) Bush Stadium 39°47'17.86"N 86°11'18.35"W

3.) Indiana Central State Hospital 39°46'8.41"N 86°12'37.03"W

Rockford:

1.) Barber-Colman
I love this place, lots of buildings interconnected with skyways. Lots of ways in, some stuff left inside, climbable water towers and great roof view. If you go to Rockford, it should be to see this. 42°15'36.50"N 89° 5'53.09"W

2.) Tapco and Amerirok
Big places that I haven't gotten into... in my three trips there has been a cop sitting outside every time. 42°16'1.62"N 89° 5'49.81"W

3.)Unknown
It's on my to-do list. 42°16'20.10"N 89° 6'12.98"W

Eau Claire:

1.) US Rubber Plant
80% reused rubber and tire factory that served as an ammo plant during WWII for a time. It's pretty and the power plant is usually doable. If you go, I left a tripod inside you can take! I was 200mi away when I said, "FUCK!" 44°48'55.06"N 91°29'26.93"W

La Crosse (WI)

1.) Boot factory, may be demolished by now. 43°50'2.05"N 91°14'8.91"W

Thanks for all of the responses and PMs!

So it's looking like I might be coming up to Minneapolis the week of July 11th through the 17th, as well as the dates that I had originally planned, July 25th through 28th.
