|  | | | This June Mr_Fiend and myself will be throwing the 1st annual Oklahoma drain party in the infamous Elm Creek Tunnel in beautiful Tulsa.
If you're thinking, "Drains in Oklahoma? There's nothing in Oklahoma." think again. We have some of the biggest, longest, baddest drains out there, many of which predate our actual statehood. Elm Creek is one of the biggest and baddest. And we're going to party our asses off in it.
Elm creek is a 20 ft tall arch style drain built in the 1920's servicing more than 5 miles of Tulsa. Features include vaulted rooms, multiple feeders large enough to explore, and even platforms in rooms so big they were rumored to be subway platforms. (They aren't so just stop with that)
Festivities will include beer, liquor, fire works, food, games, live music from some of the finest musicians in DFW and Oklahoma, and excellent photo opportunities.
**(I have several bands interested in this gig and if you're one of them send me a PM. No, you won't be getting paid, but exposure never hurt anyone. Especially this kind. You will also have to play acoustically due to the insane reverberation.)
For anyone worried about accommodations due to lack of funds or whatever, many of us will be sleeping overnight in the tunnel, including me. It is perfectly safe unless of course rain is in the forecast, and there is plenty of dry areas due to the massive size of the drain. I am able to accommodate at least 10 people at my own home if something happens and we can't stay in the drain, but I intend to sleep underground.
Last time we did this we didn't post about it on UER or our local UE site, AbandonedOK.com, or have bands, and still we had close to 30-40 people, maybe more, many were gone for hours exploring the vast network and weren't seen, so attendance is expected to be pretty damn good. I will be bringing at least 10 people myself. So should you.
I encourage everyone who can make it to come on out and get their drain party on at the 1st Annual Oklahoma Drain Meet in Tulsa Oklahoma.
The date and all details are not set in stone yet as I need to confirm with the bands and such, but it will be on a Saturday in June. Suggestions for particular dates are welcomed, as well as suggestions for anything else you might think of.

As I said, dates are not set in stone yet so I will be announcing them on this thread in the future, so if you're interested be sure to favorite this thread so you can be up to date with what is happening.

1. Find a dry, fairly level place.
2. Secure charcoal (Unroll a wide foil roll as long as you want, fold it into a box-ish shape, put on ground)
3. Fill with charcoal and fluid, light.
Enjoy your fire-trough. Costs half a roll of foil and a bag of charcoal, serves 2 dozen.
