This Victorian villa was built in 1857 as a two-storey summer house for the local Railway Director. Modifications were made to the house in 1867, including roof alterations and the addition of the west wing. The third floor was added in 1900, along with the Beau-arts Corinthian portico with balcony and Corinthian porch.

It wasn't until 1952, when the 95 year old building became a private hospital. 50 years later, in 2002, the hospital closed its doors. On this day in 2011...

there were enough openings that they would eventually make it out, and there were no bird corpses to indicate otherwise. so i didn't risk alerting the neighbours with a creeky old window.

These photos are total dope.

It reminds me of my favourite Urban Exploring photography site, Urban Travel, which is based in Europe: http://www.urban-travel.org/

I heavily enjoyed this set, congrats dude.

This is a fine location, I drive by when I go out to get some cheaper gas. Always wondered what it looked like inside.

I would say this is the best location you have posted to date. Old trashed, shitty farm houses, burnt buildings & places in the process of being demo'd have zero interest to me. This on the other hand is pretty cool!

There are no words. You'd think that'd teach me for throwing my shorts into a clothes pile in the corner, but likely not. Love you ninja (he says grimacing with a furrowed brow)

Thanks for all the nice comments folks, this place was rather exceptional, virtually untouched by vandals and 'artists' alike. My boss actually turned me on to this spot, oddly enough.
