Definitely not the most exciting location but used the dog walk last night as an opportunity to brush up on my amateurish photography skills lol...

Also, any Michigan or even better, West Michigan, UER'rs out there planning a trip to a more fun location anytime soon? Please PM me! I would love to tag along and learn from some of you that are more experienced

Nice pictures, I always liked Grand Rapids. Though not so much for urbex but for what a city should look like LOL. I was just out that way and noticed some possibly explorable places. Hit me up.

Practice makes perfect.

It's impressive that you didn't try to WOW people by turning your pics into clown-puke HDR.

it's still extremely refreshing to take a walk around, by yourself, especially in the evening/night time.

the last two are waaay over-edited to me, especially the last one which is blurry and gives me a bit of a headache. the second one is amazing, however.

Yeah, I may have gotten a little too bored at work today and overdone it on a couple of them with Photoshop haha. Thanks for the props on #2 though

I'm a professional graphic designer so I know what looks good, I just don't always know how to achieve it with my photos, having never taken any photography classes or anything. I'm putting serious thought into taking a class this fall though because I'm hooked.

i think you've confused the "great lakes" section with the "ue photo critiques" section. ;]

I'm not entirely sure because I busted her out of the pound as a puppy and they didn't know what she was... but she sure as hell looks like a Dingo! I've heard that there's an American version of a dingo called Carolina dogs, so that is what I assume she is...

(here's an actual dingo)

(and here's a couple pics of my dog, Lona)

Sorry to keep bumping my lame thread but I went out last night during a huge bad ass thunderstorm to see if I could get a lightning bolt over the skyline.... well I failed but I did end up with some cool looking pics anyway:
