It's been awhile, my little run in at Fairview kinda put a hamper on my will to explore, but I've been itching to get out and explore. So, I present to you, Captain_Slow, PrivateJoker, and Dingleberry in... THE STONER HOUSE!

Accessibility is piss easy, it's wide open, but visibility is moderate. This house is right down the road, like an eighth mile from one of the local high school. By all the evidence inside the last time it was occupied was in the late 60's, but high schoolers very often will skip class and walk down here to smoke weed... If you look close around the house there are tons of soda cans and cups used as ashtrays, littered with roaches.

1. The outside

2. Outside again

3. I'm really pleased with my new camera!

4. 40-50 years of litter. Seriously. There are soda cans here from every decade since the 50's... Even unusual ones like Tab!

5. 1970's calender

6. Sleepytime

7. This shelf was littered with letters, cards, bills, and recepits from 1952-1967... An incredible find for fans of documents like me.

8. This was the newest thing in the place, besides the calender.

9. Cheeseburger

10. You couldn't see the floor in most spots

11. Daaaaa'aaaaw

12. I <3 redheads

13. Very, very moldy and rotten pajamas still in the closet

14. Very old police scanner

15. Annnnnd the obligitary chair shot.

16. Brinks security

I got a hell of a steal on a Samsung HZ15W, it's no SLR, but for a compact superzoom, I'm absolutely in love with it, it's got full options, shutter speed, ISO, aperature, shoots 780p video, etc, a 10x optical zoom and I got it for $90 ;)

So that's what it looks like inside. This is very near to where I work. I've been meaning to stop by and have a look, but haven't gotten around to it. There's also another one that I'd like to shoot just a bit north of there.

The one behind the trees on Mayhill, near that weird niche car dealership?

I've been in there there's pics of it somewhere around here. It's owned by the Wright family, chances are if you go after 5 or so they'll all be sitting out in front of the house next door to it by the mechanic shop, just ask them if you can shoot it they'll give you the tour and let you shoot the barn too... If you try to sneak it they WILL catch you and they WILL call the cops, so just ask, they're great folks. It's pretty cool inside, too.

By any chance do you work for Denton ISD?

Yep, that's the one. Now that it's still light after work I'll bring my camera one of these days. Thanks for the tip on the family. That was my plan anyway since it looks like there's no way one could get in there without being seen. And no, I do not work for DISD. Just a bit further down the road.
