Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up that she's on the way down if you didn't know already. Currently the big building to the east of the tracks is all but gone, the southern building is having the interior gutted, and the main building is untouched...for now. They appear to be moving a little more slowly than usual because they are saving and trucking off some of the bricks. Probably down to the last couple weeks to see this one.

That sucks! That was on my list of places to check out in Chicago in a few weeks!

This is actually moving reallllllly slowly. If they continue at this rate it'll take them all year!

great! I'm planning on going to Chicago with a group in a few weeks anyway. I hope it's not completely stripped/gutted yet or anything

Haven't been inside, but since I first made this post the only exterior exterior parts to be demolished are the southern addition to the main building and the smokestack on the southern building.

I could see from the train that some new fencing has gone up in the last couple weeks.
