Took a trip today to a well-known local hospital with MonkeyPunchBaby, icaryouse, and a few non-UER friends/SOs. I'd never been before, though I'm pretty sure every other local explorer and half the town kids have. It's been almost completely stripped by scrappers, but was surprisingly short on vandalism and other dumb kid BS. I was also slightly amazed that, despite 2 inches of standing water in many places, the building still seems very structurally sound; I never felt like I was going through the floor or anything. Please excuse any blurry or out-of-focus pics, I didn't bring my tripod (like an idiot).

3 (I was sort of mesmerized by the stairwells)

4 (emergency lighting or something?)

5 (another awesome stairway)

Good job, sorry I missed this one. That place looked huge glad you found good stuff. No apologizes for the stairwell shots( I've always been a little obsessed with them myself) . I like the wrap around handrail and crackle wall in # 5. Chatt is fun. Did you guys hit any other locations?

Cool. Yeah, don't sweat the stairs- they don't make them like they used to.

Everyone who's been inside owes it to themselves to see the movie.
It's horrible and awesome and it has Phyllis Diller.
And Phyllis Diller has an extended puking scene.

It was definitely huge but the treasures were few and far between, IMO, unless you were looking for lots of ivy creeping into windows. We had fun nonetheless; I assume the other guys' threads/replies are on the way. They went draining later, but I'm not into wading through wastewater, so we skipped that part.

The best parts require waterproof footwear and flashlights. There are some neat things down there, but if you don't like drains, you probably didn't go down there.

Someone should do a live webcast from the roof. That would be pretty sweet.

I went there about a year ago, and part of the building still had power (along with odd things scattered about, like security uniforms and strange hats and old typewriters), while the rest of the building had clearly been decaying for years. Is any of that still there?

I seriously thought you were screwing with me with this until never_sleep mentioned it, too. If I would've known it was there I definitely would have looked for it! Lol.

Thanks! And the bedpan sterilizer was way creepy in the dark when we didn't know what it was.

I don't think there was power on anywhere in the building, plus it's all been stripped by scrappers at this point. The rooms around the front door were not nearly as decayed as the rest of the place, and there were boxes of nurses' (?) uniforms and other clothes up there, that may be where you're talking about. Didn't see any old typewriters, though.
