You could bring an attack dog... keep away those damn hipsters or go up against the police's dogs.
Also flares, firewood, an actual torch, (because we could end up like those guys in National Treasure who needed to bring fire while exploring) and a remote control helicopter.

23 other explorers
A rocket-powered elevator so you don't have to do any climbing
Another location to explore just in case you can't get in
People to haul the other location around
Three flashlights and two lock picks for everybody
Enough barbed-wire fence to cover the perimeter so nobody bothers you
A suitcase full of ninja stars for self-defense
A personal swat team for even more self-defense
A water cooler with paper cups
Everyone brings 65 dollars so they can pre-pay their possible trespassing ticket
An all-you can eat buffet
A desktop computer with portable power source
All necessary supplies to grow food for everybody in case you get trapped
Everybody brings a cell phone with 9 and 1 already dialed
A flat-screen TV, DVD player, PS3 with games and 34 DVDs just in case someone needs to take a break for a minute
A first-aid kit for everybody
Bulletproof vests
Slenderman
Every issue of Infiltration

There, beat THAT

Hm...can't forget:

-Police scanner
-FBI badge (I mean c'mon, how can they arrest you if you're "searching for the truth")
-Swimsuit for when you find that abandoned pool full of sludge
-Crowbar
-Brownies...special brownies

"It's ok Officer, I watch a lot of cop shows on tv, so i am practically one of you guys." - sadly, that didn't work.

The sad thing is that at one time or another I've probably taken/used 90% of everything listed here on different trips.

Hmm....

**EDIT**

Posted by turtle
On my way home I realized I left my pocket knife on the catwalk. Doh!

3 days ago I rappelled 300ft down a vertical mineshaft which is apparently 750 to 810ft deep. The first drift level was at 295ft down. No ladders in the main haulage shaft. Had to clear several debris plugs on the way down by locking off my Petzl RIG descender and hanging while moving beams out of the way before I could pass those areas.
So, after exploring the first drift level down there, we decided to head back up and call it a night and explore further on another trip (probably this coming weekend).
On the way up I was ascending the rope with the "frog" system in a 3'x3' square area, and was about 100ft up with 200ft to go when I had to work my way around a large beam I hadn't been able to move... while twisting and pushing up my right leg slammed into the beam and I heard/felt my fav pocket knife come unclipped from my harness and watched it plummet out of sight. FUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuckkkkk....

So if nothing else I pretty much HAVE to get all the way down to the bottom now to get my damn knife back.

I feel your pain.

Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =)
