They're locking things down pretty tightly. Every building now has "NO TRESPASSING, VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED" (or something to that effect) spray painted in bright red on the outside.

I'd stay clear of any place with wording like that. As should ALL the rest of you.

The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us?

Not that it's ever stopped anyone before, but it's just a sign that they are paying attention. Especially since they just received funding to demo a large portion of it.

Went here this weekend with a couple friends. I'd heard from a lot of people that this place wasn't chill anymore, but we went on a Sunday and only saw one security. Had a great and very successful day. We went into five of the buildings, three were open and the other two just required a little creativity :] One of the best places I've been to in a while.

Fantastic pics! It's very interesting to see the same graffiti tags in a lot of Bay Area/Urbex locations.

My group of explorers are interested in checking this place out; any recommendations about security/access to the buildings?

They're here, and they're watching.

The forum gets pissy about asking for things like that.

I stopped by here last weekend on the way to somewhere else. The big red spray-painted signs are new. Lots of new ply wood on some buildings but new entry points visible to other buildings so it seems like a losing battle. I'll be sorry to see these buildings torn down when that eventually does happen.

That is just Clyde's way of saying he wants to lock it all down for himself.

Had been here back in January; recently went back and probably won't return for quite some time -- it definitely doesn't feel too "chill" being out there.

There's actually GLASS left intact there???

lol, I actually never saw any of the trashed buildings that everyone else has been posting. I think I was too far south? Whatever the case that island is filled with potential!

Too bad to hear they're locking the place down a little tighter. Those pictures are amazing and are really making me want to start planning a trip out that way

There is a submarine sail on the docks there near the dry docks. Has anyone been there? Is it accessible? Any info at all?
