And then I ran away.

I saw a couple of houses fenced off while on a good bike ride a couple weeks back, and went back tonight to check out the place. I scanned the place real quick, and a bit of the fence was bent back a little, which would make hopping the fence easier. But it was 8:30 and damn dark, and I saw some guys running away from me through the fields, and some talking a ways back, so I pussed out. Sorry.

Compound the fact that my EasyShare Z915 doesn't take spectacular pictures in the day time to start, and I was paranoid and overloaded.

What I did catch was that there's 2 houses, and what looks to be like an outhouse or something. The outhouse wasn't fenced off, but was pretty well boarded up and had no way of entering unless I had a screwdriver with me.

The two houses were on a solid concrete foundation, and had like a wiring or telephone harness on them. They had front and back porches that were in the process of collapsing, so the rest of the houses can't be in spectacular condition.

I'll definitely do an in depth post when it's lighter outside. Maybe Friday.

Those houses have some beautiful decay. Nice find!

Protip: Remember what type of screws are in the plywood and bring an electric drill.

make sure to board it back up or put hinges on it to make future explorations easier. The out building is likely a well house but could also be some kind of electrical junction box.

I'm not sure that that place looks worth escalating the potential charges to a felony for burglary tools.
