Because cops like pulling over non-white people.

Bumper stickers are a bad idea.

Any decals on your car are a bad idea.

The plainest vehicle is the best one.

But sometimes having a plain ass vehicle makes it stand out in its own way. If you're driving a boring looking plain sedan you'll look like law enforcement, and possibly cause interest. If you park a pickup truck in lets say a construction area, even if it has some NRA or whatever stickers, it won't stand out. I have a few bumper stickers on my car, but it's a plain looking commuter car and wouldn't stand out much anyways.

Less breaking, more entering -- *tells cop we're taking pictures* "OF WUUUUT?!"

I guess if you drive a Crown Vic or a Caprice Classic.

That's creative. How has that worked out for you?

So far so good. I only do it when I have to park on P.property or along a highway. Nobody has ever called me but on several occasions I saw people checking out my truck. So I feel it is working.

If I weren't worried about all the secret police watching this forum, I'd post a picture of all the stickers on the back of my van. It's extremely conspicuous. I love it, because I'm flamboyant like that, but for blending in it's terrible. I do wish I had something very plain like a white F-150, just to use for exploring.

Come to think of it, I've seen an F-150 parked at several sites over the past week or so. I think it's another fellow explorer. He's always there for HOURS. Bold, that one (I am a get in, get the shot, get out type), and gives me faith that maybe (if my vehicle didn't stand out so much) I could visit some sites I have previously passed up. I mean, if I've noticed him, then surely cops have, and apparently he hasn't been bothered yet.

One word. Moped. You can take it in with you in most places, and your not tired off ya ass by the time you get there. And, if you get the right kind, they are tough as hell and have a true "backup".

Pffft... I post my truck and face on here all the time. My reasoning is I feel I'm doing nothing wrong. Taking pix. I don't steel or or damage anything to get in. Had police involvement a 1/2 dozen times or so. 1 ticket, later reversed and the rest just warnings & they were happy we weren't taggers or scrappers.

I have definitely thought about bicycle. I could throw it in the back, park somewhere, then ride up and stash bike behind house and no one knows I'm there.

My face is right there in my profile pic but I don't drive around with my face and leave my face parked outside abandonments.

DAMMIT I did the back to back posts thing again instead of multiquote.

If you do this please remember to start a "Where did I park my bike, I lost it" thread.

Also, in regards to your other post about creating a thread whining about being picked on because you're a noob, I do believe I love you.

My daily driver is a 2008 white Ford Ranger, true work truck model that I picked up at auction. I carry around some magnetic numbers and when I slap them on the fender, I can park my happy ass anywhere and nobody ever, EVER looks twice. I look like a meter reader, surveyor, code enforcement, etc etc etc etc.

In fact, I have a hard hat and one of those yellow safety vests, when I get bored sometimes I'll put em on and go drive through construction zones and nobody even blinks.

Spot the imposter :p Using an Autozone's fleet of Rangers to cover my ass while we hit a nearby drain.

wait, what?

It might just be me, but I see a plain looking car (only domestic though) and it sparks my interest, why's the fuzz around? Cops are using Chargers, Impalas, Crown Vics, Caprices (in some places maybe), the new Tauruses, Explorers, Tahoes, etc. That was my only point, too plain can sometimes stand out just as much. But maybe it's because I always look out for cars in general so I notice them more.
