applying for an internship

I'm applying for a summer internship where you work with design companies and work on projects and such. With the application you need to attach one sample of your work and then to the interview you can bring several things. I need help picking out my best pictures. Here are some that I am really proud of, but if you can, it would be awesome if you could look through some of my pictures on flickr ( http://www.flickr....pacemanspiff/sets/ ) and post them on here. thanks!

I would give them more than just UE related stuff..
I think its likely they wont really understand the point in it..
Include some photos of pretty skyscrapers, people, and other things that 'normal' people take photos of..
they do that right?
yehh *shrugs*

I agree with what chris-kicker said to an extent. Something "normal"-ish, with quality and a unique perspective that sets you apart from the rest of the candidates. UE inspired, but perhaps not full-on UE photography. Dunno. Sounds good, anyhoo.

Things I'm diggin' from your flickr from a super quick glance through:

The first "motion on the street" photo from MIT spark 2011.

"Lightrays" from marblehead, if it were cropped a little.

(hehehe, beware of attack seagull.)

( favorite: ) "harmonica playing overlooking construction" from your israel album (which is dang cool in itself, by the way).

"Hello there" from marblehead 2/13/11.

..and from the same album, the photo of the vehicle window with the "5" sticker and moss growing with the snow has good bokeh written all over it.

For some reason I seem to like Shadow Down The Steps from st. johns, even with its simplicity.

I wish I had started playing with photography at a younger age.
Oh, and awesome name, by the way. Watterson would be proud.

Thanks for the awesome feedback and for actually looking through my Flickr account So what you're saying is get some pictures that normal human-beings can relate to? So like, street life and such topics?

Hey no prob.
Yep, and I'd also recommend researching what the said design agencies specialize in, and tailor your ideas based off of what they do.

Every kind of creative agency will want to see how well you photograph people. I recommend more portraits.

Anyway, your skill is pretty good. Good luck, and keep shooting no matter what.

I'd say that 4 is the coolest here, and not just because retro-looking photos are 'in' right now. Hotter than superwide, I must say (thanks, hipsters).

The others don't stand out to me, but at least 2 and 7 are exposed about right!
