An old Farmhouse

This property is right up the street from me and has been abandoned for awhile. Looking through the windows of the house, most of the stuff seems to still be laying around inside. The new owners are going to be tearing it down soon for condos or something like that so I thought I would take a peek.

The house doesn't look like it's in bad shape from the exterior. I wonder why anyone would want to tear down a beauty like that. Sad. Nice photos though..did you go in?

I love the last shot with the eaves trough falling down. I don't understand the archway structure, is it like a bridge or something? I only see it in the two shots and I can't figure out why there would be an archway there. Is it like inside the large barn like structure? This is going to bug me now

Thanks for the pics!

Thanks. I didn't go in, all of the doors were screwed shut. I was temped to go through a broken window though, maybe another day...

Thanks. The archway is for the ramp to get machinery in and out of the barn. Its weird that the little room was attached to it, I had never seen a setup like it before.
