12 Oaks Hospital has been abandoned for awhile now and crews are finishing demolition here in the next few months. the only reason ill post the real name is because it wont be there soon as when my school moves into the building next to it it will be an empty shell. plus right now theres tons of security and workers.

i went to check out my schools new location and remembered this was behind it. so i talked to a worker. who had me call another guy who made me call another guy who talked to another guy and eventually i got to be escorted to take pics for class. it was pretty cool. most the good stuff was gone (morgue,OR tables) but it was deff worth the wait and calls.

12 Oaks closed due to bankruptcy in 2008 and then was ravaged by the hurricane after. the guy escorting me told me that after the hurricane was when they started demo. and he said all the clothes and supplies and everything where still here as the hospital couldnt get a clean up crew in. this is where theey came in now.

just me this time

Very nice! It looks like it had been a nice hospital, usually the ones on here are older. And the first #9 has a weird face in the floor. Kinda creepy.

I'm jealous as well. It's been awhile since the last time I went exploring. Glad you did ask, looks like a great place. Not to mention the many great things that are still in the building!

Very nice! Looks like a great place.

I don't know if you have Lightroom, but if you do, it's pretty easy to add light without the use of HDR.

o i know even cRAW can do it

i was just doing this for a flickr group thing that i got bored of now lolnow of these are even right for HDR. cept a few... but those are obvious. no more crazy hdr for me unless the light is right. or maybe the price...

Nice! But for the love of God, try fusing/blending exposures instead of HDR. Whatever you're doing to them, it hurts my eyes.

yeah i didnt edit these after the merge. well the few that i cared about i did.

ill B&B more than merge since its the same cept ones more alpha than the other.

its funny cuz noone else ther knew i was in the building cept the guard and 2 of the higher up guys. so the workers would all freak when they saw me darting in and out of rooms. specailly on the OR floor since its pitch dark. im starting to like this ghost thing (Falstaff story...)

Only one problem there, Price.... you didn't invite WeedHopper and I!!! Nice work man. Don't let them get you on the HDR comments. We all had to start somewhere.

It's all good man. We'll get together next time we're in town for sure. If you need any tips on HDR or Photoshop in general, Weedhopper and I would be glad to help with what we know.
