In the future, if you have to have been there to know what's in the picture cuz it's so crummy...

You might want to wait to post until you have pictures that people who haven't been there can actually figure out what's in the picture.

Just sayin

I should have a new camera within the next 2 weeks but will be exploring until then and taking photos with my phone I take hundreds and only post the ones that are somewhat acceptable... #7 wasn't one of those(#3 was also posted by mistake)

Honestly there wasn't much to see they JUST finished gutting the building so all that was left was Graffiti(#6s paint was still wet actually) and dirt. The building was more interesting on the outside but none of those pictures turned out at all

I'm just posting the places I go atm in hopes that someone from the area may wanna know where it is or something and I can use that to meet locals...

So guess I'm saying I know the quality and subject matter both suck but I'm posting the best I can until I can replace my camera/find better places but if you really want I can stop

You could try using some more light... you know, illuminate the subject instead of blaming it on the camera.

Tried it and it comes out like this
I need better gear >_< we didn't even need flashlights to see but when I would take a photo with my phone it would come out totally black

So on the 15th I plan to just find a nice camera for ~1000-1500$... something I can take acceptable photos with

If you got that type of $ to throw down on gear, then by all means have at it, but research really good what your getting. But don't go breaking the bank if you don't have that laying around. I am shooting with a rebel xt, which you can pick up all day on Craigslist for 350-400. Grab that and then maybe dump a little into another lens you might use alot, depending on the one that typically comes with a camera you buy, and go to town. Yeah I would love to upgrade my camera, but honestly right now its not limiting me, I'm still learning how to get the best out of it.

Maybe next month we will make a trip down there and see if your available, get together and hit a good spot or two.

Don't spend so much to start out with. Use some of the money for another lens, and some on fuel to go exploring with some of the good folk you're gonna meet.

Rebel really is a great starter camera. I've got one too, and I love it...

Oh!! Don't forget a tripod, a cheap one will do fine for starters....

1500 isn't much for me me and 2 friends run a game company that makes that on a bad day

But what would you guys suggest I tend to do everything at night so I need something that will stand up in low light conditions and I wanna be able to do long exposure

About meeting up I'm always good to meet up(work 3 days a month max) just drop a PM before you plan to be in the area and I'm down to go anywhere

You might take a look through this thread and find several answers more conducive to your question than you will probably get here.

Get a Canon or Nikon DSLR, tripod, and remote & you'll be all set.
