Awesome! That's a great set from the navy ship, I think I've seen some of the others before, looks like the Aral Sea.

Turn off the internet and go play outside.

Yep, the Star has to be one of the most hardcore explores of all time. Great site!

Great link! I've read about ships that get caught in the ice in the arctic but have never seen any photos of it

great! I have a special place for ships.

The ones down on the aral are actually spread over a vast area, as the sea receded they moored their boats obviously further and further from the original shore, until the inevitable, either they ended up in a dead end puddle/low spot, or became beached and wasn't worth freeing them. There's over a hundred boats that are a decent size stuck out there.

Go.. IN.. turbines...

The American Star was a wreck I'd dreamed of shooting, even just from the shore, but she's fully collapsed now. The images below are from (L-R) 2005, 2007, 2010.

It happens every year around here. This winter we had up to hundred ships stuck in ice at the same time - the Russians even brought the nuclear icebreaker Vaygach over to help.

Nice thread.

Boats are cool. I just wish there were more cool abandoned ones around.

On a lighter note (as seen elsewhere on UER), my first YouTube submission -

>The Boat That Rocked That's Fucked<

FacialBook is killing online forums.

This one was in Baracoa, Cuba. Too bad I was unable to explore it inside or even go diving because of the weather.
