|  | | | While in the area today I noticed the big red crane of doom looming around those 2 old houses across from the Walmart/Rona plaza. They're tearing down the old barn in the back.
I fear time is running out for the homes on the lot too 
Im sorry I was not able to add a photo. However if you folks in the area could keep an eye on whats going on there. Such a shame

| | | | Hmm, my bet would be that they'll tear down the smaller barn first. I think the roof finished falling off under the weight of the first snow fall this year. I hope they leave the houses for a bit longer though, I haven't gotten any nice photos of inside yet.

They're probably not working on the weekends... However I highly doubt the houses will be there then. I'll go for a drive out tomorrow and check it out if someone doesn't in the mean time.

| | | | I drove past these places today on the way up North to Bancroft. The red house with the pillars, all the boarding on the windows has been removed. The older house remains unchanged - but for now at least they're still standing and I didn't see any workers around.

It looks like they've started to tear down part of the house with the pillars. The brown house is indeed still untouched. Both barns and silo's are completely gone.

Funny how they're taking apart that Pillar house the way they are instead of leveling the fuck out of it. Makes me wonder why they do this... It would be nice if they kept the old farm house to do something with it. But since Smart Centers own the land (I think), I highly doubt that will happen.

Here In Bowmanville, they took some prime farmland, this house and a golf driving range and opened a gi-normous Walmart, a Home Depot and Swiss Chalet (mmmmm, chicken). Soon there'll be the largest Canadian Tire in Durham Region and a bunch of smaller stores. Long live consumerism.
