These lovely 'move-in' condition homes are open for business! Only 2 left...

Craven and I found these while heading to work one day. They are side by side (which means if you buy now, you could be neighbors!).

The nicer looking home looks like it will be fixed to sell, however there was a stop work order on the door.

The more...ummm....'rustic' of the two is very dilapidated. In fact, squatters have turned there nose at this place. The ceiling is almost completely collapsed and in many rooms the floor is falling through.

It has sexy wallpaper or pain in every room, including a beautiful Care Bear pink kitchen! Act now and get the rose coloured sink to match!

I do not recommend these if you are in the area....I can still taste that smell...

I love the smell of mold in the fall.

Texas reporting in.

Man, basements are just so weird to see. Here in Texas, I've only run into one house in the state that had a basement and it was because the owner was paranoid about tornados. I've always wished I had a basement though, to store all my crap, lol.

Why wouldn't a house not have a basement? Is it built on damp ground or something?

I honestly have no idea. The ground here is dry and solid, but it's a state wide thing. Literally nobody in my town has a basement, no joke. It's the same way all across Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Probably has something to do with hot + dry.

My childhood home in St. Laurent, QC had no basement either....oddly enough after we moved out the new owners had the house lifted and a basement put in.

I love my basement - the keeper of kitty crap bins, old useless exercise equipment (damn you Tony Little!!!), trinkets from yester-year and the ManCave!
