| | | this was probably my favourite that day as well...... what a beautiful property and gorgeous old home. We had a nice walk in from the street and were pleasantly surprised when we came across a deer in the field! Part of what I love about exploring these homes is trying to imagine what life was like in another time..... family sitting in front of that big stone fireplace, kids playing in the woods outside. Visiting this home first was a great way to start our day....we certainly spent the most time in this one, and got the most pictures. Lesson learned though, bring a battery charger for the digital cameras next time..... a few of my fave pics: #2 the barn through the field....love the out of focus barn in the distance. #15 and 17 the closeups of the knob and door, great eye BeerBunny! and you've gotta love #18! of yours truly Craven and BeerBunny....lol

| | | When the snow melts we will go back and take pics of the Mill. It is virtually gone at this point, but some of the large rocks and the foundation is visible in the spring. Sadly, construction starts dangerously close to this house for a new commercial building. As it is, Craven and I can look out our office windows and see this beauty quietly hiding in the trees.

| | | I met up with BeerBunny and a "friend" this past Sunday to check this place out... The walk in was brutal due to the snow being so deep, but it was worth it. Inside the house there's isn't too much to photograph, but there are a few things of age worth noting. The 3' high stairway railing captivated me along with the stair way itself (for some odd unknown reason...)
1. The bay window
2. Old "push button" style switch
3. Master Bedroom wall art
4. Floor Grille
5. Stairway Railing
6. Looking downstairs...
7. Fireplace c/w Wood Burning Stove conversion pad

| | | Oh, forgot to mention, on the trip with Canadavey, we found a secret hiding place under a floor board. It was empty, but so cool to find this. I just noticed the floor sounded hollow, then saw that the floor board was shorter than the rest and not nailed down. It took some prying, but I got it open. Thought I was going to find an original draft of a Stephen King novel or at least a back door into Narnia... nope, just some nob and tube wiring and bust bunnies...
