| | EMERSON FACTORY MARKHAM < on 1/21/2011 8:28 PM >
| | | Hi All! Since I'm new and I cannot post locations yet - here is a lunch time infiltration created by CravenMoreHead and me. We Put on hard hats and drove straight through the demo. dump trucks, back hoes and front end loaders in full effect. This is probably the last day of this buildings life. INFO: EMERSON ELECTRIC CANADA is a diversified manufacturer of electrical and electronic products and systems through its many operating divisions and subsidiaries. Products are sold primarily through independent distributors and original equipment manufacturers in a variety of industries. Emerson manufactures an extensive product line, employing over 2,000 people in manufacturing plants across Canada. Obviously no one works in here anymore.... 1.

| | | Welcome, nice pic's. This location is in the DB, but it is restricted to full members. http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=29847 Looks like they aren't wasting any time leveling this location. [last edit 1/22/2011 2:25 AM by logtec - edited 1 times]
They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn! |

| | | what better time than your lunch hour to check out an abandoned factory! we would have liked to have gotten more pics of the interior, but they were actually in mid-demolition as we were there..... got quite a dirty look and a finger wag from a toothless construction worker on our way out.... we're looking forward to posting more pics soon and getting to know our fellow UER's....

| | | you bring back memories... many years ago during the demolition of veterans hospital in London Ontario, I drove onto the property in the middle of the day with my work truck. Got out with hardhat, safety glasses, and notebook on a clipboard. Anyone that asked if I was looking for something, I just told them that I was double-checking the gas lines. I spent a lot of time walking around with my cell phone plastered to my ear pretending to talk to my boss... no one bothered me at all. I explored for over an hour.

| | | ^^ Hmmm that's what I'm missing is a cell phone and a clip board. I'm going to try that when ever I'm staking out a location. I loved the pictures OP! Thanks for posting.

| | | I think that was only a distribution center. I don't see any trace of machinery...did anyone visit before the demo began.

I did- without camera, it did seem like a distribution warehouse. +there was many loading docks.

LOL! Craven and I had hard hats as well. I think they thought we were using the back parking lot for a 'lunch time quickie' so they gave us 10 mins, then they came by to kick us out. The day before we entered, the offices were intact, but the demo was just too fast. I did find the mandatory chair shot...sadly, no toilets to speak of. My apology for the sideways photos, I was uploading at work and forgot to change the views

I visited back in the summer I believe it was and you're right it was just a distribution warehouse. Several loading bays maybe 15 large empty spaces and some offices. There really wasn't much of anything inside. There was a family of raccoons scurrying about the drop ceiling though.

| | | They did a lot of moving of electric motors. They also repaired a lot of tools, especially Home Depot stuff mainly Rigid. Vacuum cleaners of all things. Knew the electrician and a former employee. Ill dig up some more dirt and post.
I was there when we buried Hoffa outside Terlingua. Have the shovel to prove it |
