Awesomeness! I so need to go there. I've heard so much about that neighborhood and even remember reading about lots being sold on some housing website, but can't remember which one. I'm only about 5 minutes from there, but I dunno about all the thorns and crap, lol

we made a trail and with boots and pants its not o bad

i used to live close by, i had a friend who lived in the neighborhood that is now trees and fields.. i remember hanging out at that ball park also.. right when it happend everyone moved out exept 2 or 3 people stayed, we would go out and explore all the homes ...it was creepy.. some homes had funature and apliances still in them, the main street was guarded by security so had to take the field to get there..they were building a school and it was never finished.. some kids got real sick and most everyone had some health issue..what a trip i remember it was the place to go to explore..the streets are still there and foundations with the light poles and fire hydrants but its all forest now...back in the 90s would have been the best time to check out the ghost sub...

i moved into ashley pointe on blackhawk like 3 years ago and was intrigued buy the light poles in the woods, thats what started my fascination

Me and a couple of friends went into the neighborhood/street area last weekend. I am really convinced that there is nothing there except impossible brush.

Since I live super close to the area we are planning to go farther into the woods off of Dixie to look at the rest of the baseball area. I went at about dusk a few weeks ago but it was getting dark and too risky to continue further, just got to the bathroom and shed but the cell phone tower. Since I am going to go during daylight, hopefully I can rack in some decent photos.

Any suggestions on navigating through?

yeah there is 0 at the streets. the woods i would say wait until fall or winter cuz its insanelly overgrown. though since were in drought u might be able to just break your way thru no machete necessary. i live in subdivision behind it so i can come over possibly whenyall are there and help yall i know multiple ways in and where everything is. jut wear long pants (thick if u got them) and gloves cuz its thorn central. just PM me next time ur thinkin of going =]

I will be going about 5:30-6 on Thursday, if you want to meet us, that would be fine, if not then there is always next time. Since it is drought season, I had no problems getting to the bathrooms area, the only problem was a hornet nest. Dx I just parked by the T-mobile tower. Since I drive a truck, it tends to look somewhat official if you glance down from Dixie. ;) There wasn't anything but big trees in the way and small undergrowth.

How far from the restroom is it to travel to the fields?
