|  | | | For some reason I can't select text in UER. For example, when composing this post I left click and drag the mouse to the left, trying to highlight text but nothing happens. I can do it successfully on other sites. I can do it successfully using Firefox (which I dislike so using that fulltime is not an option). I've been able to do it before 100's of times. I can right click and choose "select all".
Ideas? I'm using IE 8. I don't think I've made any software updates since it stopped working.

Update: I realized that I was using IE7 when I checked. Same problem after updating to v8.

I use useragent switcher plugin for firefox for everything else.
...I just switched my user agent to IE8 and I can select text no problem. Your browser is broken, not the site.

Same here using IE 7. I can select single words by clicking on them but not entire text.

You know what's great about using a Mac? Unless I'm dual-booting or loading it in CrossOver, using Internet Explorer isn't even an option. There hasn't been a new version since 2003, and Microsoft stopped supporting it for Mac at the end of 2005. That's five years we've been free of that awful browser.

um no, I didn't learn anything. I knew that IE is from Microsoft and I know it sucks, which is why I don't use it

I checked and that's actually when I'm using my Blackberry, not an apple product. When you mouse over the apple symbol it says "unknown". Weird.

All my buttons vanished which is why I was viewing through TUL anyhow. But I think that was Av's way of 'getting even' for nuking the Santa 'option' through ad blocker. It came back when I turned it off.
