I don't recognize that, but I feel like I should. Do you have any pics of what it's around/Google Earth location?

Speaking of which, did anyone ever explore the old transmission plant on Red Bank Road before it got torn down ~5 years ago?

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.

If you go to Google maps and put this in
39.199802,-84.471989
it should take you to the exact location. from there you can look at it from street view.

Theres also a falling apart abandoned House/bar like place across the street with a ton of random junk in it. Someone might be using it for storage but who knows.

Cool stuff man. That place at one point manufactured "Gilbeys Gin." I had no idea the entire place was abandoned now, we kind of pseudo went in there one night in 2009, but I thought once floor was still being used as an auto repair shop or something.

Thanks for the link, i cant believe i didnt see that yet. Yeah, i think the bottom floors might be used. and in another part there were a lot of fiberglass and molds for car hoods. And i think most of the white building might be used for storage. at least the top couple of floors. We've been there three times to get to it all and the last time there was music coming from the bottom floor on both ends of the building. If you want a creepy experience, i would suggest going to the basement.

I walked in on this place four years ago or so and it was still in use.

Cool shots. The fact that this place is typically partially in use has always stopped me from checking it out. You know, given the neighborhood and all.. Just a little bit sketchy. Especially with the dogs they used to keep next door.

Nice, I never went in because I thought it was in use, and as person pointed out the place next door kept a couple of loud ass mangy looking dogs.

The Jim beam plant that is kind of attached to this place is closing soon, too, so that whole stretch of buildings will all be empty.

PS just realized my avatar pic was taken at this place.

I believe that building was part of the National Distillers complex. It closed down in phases and portions were sold off, demolished, or used for other purposes. I remember it being most active in the 1970s and early 80s.

The National Distillers office building (I can't tell one highway from another, so I can't tell where it is) was abandoned until a few years ago. I think it's a trucking company or something.

Actually, that might be the same location.

Thanks for posting these -- my curiosities on the tower have been realized. There were lights on on the upper floors of the whiteish tower, but when I was last up there, it was just all abandoned.

I think one of the center buildings was just sold off, the one that we got in Zach and Ronny. Don't see any activity inside though.

Oh yeah, after the first time we went, someone must have know someone had been there, even tho we didnt disrupt anything (that we know of), because they the put a chain link fence along where that last picture was taken, they rigged something by one of the doors to keep it closed (but on the outside for some reason..) and put wires along the bottom of some of the doorways.
