INAAP

My girlfriend actually told me about this location yesterday. Unfortunately, she told me she's been doing some research and its rather heavily guarded.

They're supposedly continuing ammunition manufacturing in some of the bought buildings, thus the need for security.
Does anyone know more about this? Just how accessable is it?

Also, Ive heard Evansville, IN is worth a look, but Im not quite sure why. I know the TB location was torn down some odd years ago.

I'll certainly proceed with caution. Thanks for the heads up.

Actually, while we're still talking about southern Indiana, anyone been to Marble Hill recently? I'll be mighty close to that as well.

Apparently in that area, there's some local haunt called the witches castle too. I've found the general location, and hey why not.

Stay off the roads at INAAP and you'll be ok. It helps to have a map of the site if you aren't familiar with it.

I was there in August, at that point they'd taken down one of the containment domes. It wouldn't surprise me if the other one has been pulled down by now. Condenser batteries were still untouched in August, but the steam generation and turbine buildings were pretty shelled out.

Make sure you visit Joey G's for dinner in Madison. Good food, and great beer selection.

I will certainly keep this in mind. I work at a brewery in Chicago as an assistant brewer; I am a connoisseur of beer, so to speak.

And as far as the map situation goes, I am at a lack there of. I have the most recent version of Google Earth, so hopefully it will not steer me wrong.

That will do just fine. Any sort of device to orient yourself to the site is what you need. People don't realize how big it actually is until they're at the site and lost...

I don't mind getting lost, as long as I'm not stupid about it. I'd much rather thoroughly know my way in and way out.

Allislostmanteno and I never actually went.
We just simply didnt end up having the time while we were down there.
But we make a trip down twice a year, and hopefully this summer we can plan accordingly.

I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of stars makes me dream.

I was just wondering what the status on this place was cause I checked google earth and I can't see it from the sky via the coordinates provided by wikipedia. However its a huge area and there is next to no street view. Just want to know if it is still there. Wiki says it isn't slated for demo. till next year.

Is that blank lot it? This is why I was confused. Have you been by this place cause I saw some buildings a bit away from the coordinates on 6th that look abandoned but I've never been to the site.
