Tunnels by my apartment

There is a pretty nice tunnel system near my apartment in Fort Worth, close to Hulen Mall. I was hoping to get a few people together to go check them out. I have been through 2 of them but there is a third that seemingly goes on forever. If anyone would like to get together to check them out please let me know. I would love to meet some of you in person.

Standard drains. The 2 I've been through are kind of interesting and the one that I have yet to complete has me terribly intrigued.

I think what link was asking was, what size are they? Are they RCP, RCB, parabolic arched, etc.....

I used to live off Hulen, If I was still there I would go with, but I'm in Tulsa now.

Drains, drains, drains, drains, drains.

Nah, I'm not really a drainer, so I was just curious if it was drains or utility tunnels.

Ok total n00b on the drain topic so talk slow to me. For the most part they are 6 to 8 feet high and probably the same width. 2 of them are square all the way through and the third starts off square and then becomes round and progressively smaller. I have not completed that one. I have no clue what RCP or any of that other stuff is.

I *think* RCP would be Round Concrete Pipe. Not sure what RCB would be, though. And I could be entirely wrong on anything -- it's not like there's a glossary or anything. I'm sure someone could put one together, but then we'd lose the whole "I know something the rest of the world doesn't" vibe. ;)

Actually we've had this discussion many times on the draining board that doesn't exist.

We figure through research and say so that RCP is reinforced concrete pipe, RCB is reinforced concrete box. There are many others as well.

And believe it or not, on the board that doesn't exist, we have made a glossary, somewhere I think.

What I think you have is 2 reinforced concrete boxes, RCB's, and 1 RCP; and a little tip for you since you are a self proclaimed noob; if you are walking against the flow of water, the drain will only get smaller. There are rare exceptions, but almost always the drains get smaller upstream. The further the water travels downstream, the more it has to collect, hence going downstream the tunnels get larger, going upstream, they get smaller. Make sense?

TL;DR - Don't waste your time on the one that gets progressively smaller, it will only get smaller, and will likely lead to nothing.

Drains, drains, drains, drains, drains.
