| | | I did a lot of research before heading down to this place, and supposedly construction was going to be postponed due to an environmental impact hearing that was supposed to take place next year. I guess it didn't stop them from at least making themselves at home. After driving a little over an hour to get there I was sorely disappointed. I probably only missed my window by about a week.

| | | that's the concrete plant in castle hayne. I went there last year and it was the same way. I think they simply stopped using that plant and built another one on the same property. when you come in, there is a quarry on the right, and you can drive between it and the abandoned plant to get on the side of it. What I did not realize is that there are gates they close there at 5pm, and I got locked in. Lucky for me I have a lifted jeep with a winch and was able to get out.
