| | Abandoned Drive-In < on 10/17/2010 8:35 PM >
| | | This old drive-in has been abandoned for as long as I've lived here (10 years). We found some papers in there from 1984, so that's my guess on when it was last in operation. We went in expecting the place to be gutted, and were shocked to find that everything was still there. There was even an old Buick Skylark in the back that looked to be in great condition, although the tags were from 1991. It was a very cool place, except for the dead bird. That was pretty gross. EDIT: I asked my grandpa about this place and he said he used to go here up until 1956. He said it was probably built in 1950.

| | | Nice! Old drive-ins Like this are all over the state. The ones I've been too were similar to this, screen still intact, projector still there, and even found movies still on the reels.

| | | Yeah, there was still film in the reels in this one too! It was too bad though because the sun had bleached them over the years. It was still very cool.

| | | I know! There were very faint outlines left, but I couldn't make anything out of it. Plus, I'm horrible with movies from the 80's!

| | | I saw a complete print of Teen Wolf in an abandoned theatre once. It was still in the cans and had likely been there since the movie had been last played back in the 80's.

I looked, and as you can tell, the film was bleached out. Guess we'll never know..

Good luck! It was locked up, although the interior was in perfect condition. It's also between two houses, so I think it might be one of their cars they just have no space for. It was pretty nice looking though!
