I call it Melba as a general vicinity, but there's some old rock dwellings along the Halverson Bar. Not terribly exciting, but cool nonetheless. I love the old Guffey trestle bridge. Until recently, it sat abandoned above the Snake River for over 50 years until the county retrofitted a walking path on it.

If you are down for hiking, there are plenty of abandoned ghost towns in the silver city area that still are furnished.

I've seen the Dewey power station, but I've never made it to Delamar. The road got too sloppy for our little Suzuki wagon. It would be a nice loop coming back into Jordan Valley. I guess there's a couple spots south of Silver City. Are these the "furnished towns"?

Yeah. Flint is the name of the town. Its 13 miles away. I think its private but thats never stopped me.

Kinda....The power station has a mine right by it also thats kinda cool to check out. I wouldn't go to far out of the way to see it.
The school house and the huge fallen down mine in delamar are cool but ask the head miner for permission to look around. There are several houses that you can check out without permission that are mostly still standing.
I have the school in the UE DB and the plant also.

The Dewey power station is a concrete shell left from a fire many years ago. Cool, but kinda boring IMO. Delamar is supposed to have more structures. I understand some of them might be seasonal cabins. There was a beautiful boarding house there that burned in the 70's. I have yet to visit Delamar.
South is the town of Flint (I agree that it may be private) and South Mountain City. That is quite a trek from Silver City and there may be ongoing mining operations there.
Another place I've been wanting to make a drive to is Reynolds. There's not much there except for some abandoned school or church building.
