I think it be best not to post the location or anything else about this place. They got a $50 reward to catch anyone back there, and the locals are well aware of this. All I can say is its in central NC near Greensboro.

I recommend not going into the adit, its floor is filled with sediment, its timbers rotten, you can hear them creek and its a quite eerie sound. its also clay and dirt with veins of rock here and there, not very stable without support timbers which are very rotten.

I did find a rock of silver ore, a big rock, took a little piece of it but was scared to take the whole thing cause it was kinda supporting the timbers.

Unless you know how to infiltrate property out in the country, you got a 4x4 truck, camo netting, and can use a map and compass i would not recommend this site at all. i wont be goin back.

I'm really surprised at the lack of greenery. Considering how decomposed the tunnels and infrastructure are, I'd expect the whole area to be forest by now.

its because its all gravel, rockhounds used to frequent the place, and there is likely some serious contamination from mercury
