Went back again a short while ago. Ventured to the SW corner of the complex first and made my way back north... even visited the building with miles of razor wire around it.

Here's the new batch:

I know it's a lot but I wanted to try to make up for not posting for a good long while. Winter gave me some serious cabin fever; not a good thing to have when you just got a new camera.

I was pleased with the shots. Hopefully this will set a decent standard.

Info-wise... there was a lot more activity on the roads there. In the time we were there we were almost caught by the correctional bus as it was leaving, and also two separate cars. We missed each other by a matter of seconds.

Thanks a lot. There are 3 buildings I don't think I have ever covered: The loading dock building, the large (older) building just north of that and the southern "twin" building next to the basketball court.

We ran out of time this last trip, and narrowly missed a few vehicles, so I'd say we are done here for a while.

I have been like 4 times with different groups of people and don't think I saw it all yet. I tended to get distracted with the other attraction nearby.

The building with the loading dock is the laundry. It has some pretty cool stuff inside.

I am bad with directions but are you talking about the power plant? I have only been in parts of it.

I've heard this place is kinda shitty as far as security and hobos, but I've wanted to go for quite a while now. I don't know where it is though and the one guy I know that does would rather not discuss it.

So yeah, anyone that's been there feel like going back and showing me around?

Security, no. There's a security station at the main road of the complex... I have only been there twice, but I have yet to see the security guy come outside. My guess is that he is camping in one of the tertiary trailers next to the eastern part of the road.

So I just don't go that far down the road, and I'm fine.

There was some hobo paraphernalia in the barbed wire building. Boots, several changes of clothes, set up mattresses. Someone also wrote messages in toothpaste I think, and there were single packs of sex lube and lotion in a few places. (My guess is that a couple teens knew about the place, and used it as their humping grounds.)

I've heard stories of squatters and meth labs, but they may have come and gone.

Man what a goddamn terrible place to use for your sexual exploits. I've been there three times now, and it just keeps getting worse. Last time we were leaving and crossing that open road that the correctional busses and others actually use, a car drove by, saw us, and stopped. She rolled down her window and yelled, "This is government property! You're trespassing!" We told her we were just leaving, and she grunted in displeasure and drove off. Glad that happened on the way out. I would like to go again sometime soon. I still have yet to see the whole complex.

We dodged that bullet last time we were there. If we had stepped onto one of those crossover roads 10 seconds earlier, we would've been busted. But it sounds like they only care if you're in yelling distance... so that's good.

No sh1t right?
Every new crop of people here goes through this frenzy of blowing up locations, dropping names, and then the inevitable penitence when someone gets arrested.
Abandonments (even trashed ones!) are a precious and very limited resource.

He is talking about people name dropping the place to anybody can google it and away they go.

I really don't know why people do it other than to internet dick wave they have been there before.

There is really no reason to ever just go "Yeah, this is *******".

I see; thanks Soldat.

Actually; there was a "soldat" on a chalkboard there. Be that you, or an impersonator?

If a dozen is "limit[ing] the numbers", I can't imagine what they consider a full group.
