Hey guys, I'm a n00b, so please don't be too harsh.

As many of you Cincinnatians may know, Kingpin Lanes in Anderson Township closed in early 2008 due to a partial roof collapse from a snowstorm that winter. It sat abandoned until late November 2009, when they started tearing it down. You can guess what I did--I made my first foray into the urbex world.

The building was about 1/3 demolished, with no light (it was around 5 pm). The front part of the building was the part that was rubble. I had no gear whatsoever--it was spur of the moment. I was wearing gym shorts, tennis shoes, and a T-shirt, and had amateur photography skills.

Inside, long story short, it was creepy as all get out. Ceiling tiles in particular were very waterlogged. About 2/3 way through the building, you could hear where the roof had broken. Water was pouring down in a miniature waterfall, so I avoided that part of the building (although I was dying to know what happened to the game room) and stuck to the front desk, bar, office, and bowling ball room.

Let me stress that there was pretty much nothing salvageable; during the time it was vacant, they had taken the lanes, ball returns, pinsetters, even the bowling shoes from the front desk. It was a waterlogged (s)hell.

It deteriorated really badly. Now it's a pit of dirt with some weeds growing out of it.

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.
