What do you normally bring/wear?

I'm sort of new to the UER board... I mean I have been here for over a month but mainly just troll pictures for inspiration and entertainment, but I have been out on several trips, including the abandoned Crosley Radio Factory twice with my real life friend Whoots (whom you may know). We are planning on going to the Cincinnati North Hotel on Sunday( http://www.uphereurbex.com ) which requires some p100 rated respirators due to the mold, and apparently is going to be more on the stealthier side because of the presence of a rent-a-cop.

Anyways, to the point, what do you normally bring/wear when you go exploring?

On the trips that I have gone I have always worn jeans. I don't care how hot it is, it is just a much better idea than scraping your leg open on glass.

Normally a T-Shirt is fine, most of the time I wear an undershirt as well. But that is just habit.

I always carry boots with me in my car, but I have yet to wear them, normally Tennis/Running shoes do the trick and are light weight and not bulky so, in case the time needs to come to run, you can run fast.

Respirator. I just got mine but plan on carrying it with me in the car everywhere in case I may need it.

Flashlights. Always, multiple ones as well. Normally the Mag-Light where you can take the cap off and it acts as a torch is my favorite, but I also carry a Monster one that cops use. It's mah beatin' stick.

I plan on wearing a beanie cap most of the time now, it is sort of a very simple form of padding and also keeps most of the crap out of your hair, which is nice even if you have short hair like me.

I have a GPS in the car as well, but it is so off calibrated that you have to use a pen and get under the edge of the screen at the top to hit anything up there. Normally directions written on a friends hand does just fine.

Cell phone, obviously

I always leave my wallet in the car.

I do carry my keys, obviously

A backpack and a Camelbak (backpack that has a bladder that holds around 2 liters of water and has the drinking hose out of it). Normally my Camelbak just holds the light stuff (it isn't big by any means of the definition) such as cell-phones, keys, and flashlights. The backpack normally carry's my friends Nikon D3000 and his tripod along the the water-bottles and any souvenirs we manage to find. (A whole Chicago Souvenir Kit from the Crosley Radio Factory was put in there)

Other than that, that is about it really. I plan on going out and getting a small first aid kit and one for my car seeing as I pretty much need one anyways since I am certified in all that crap.

Also, we plan on getting some nice gloves, like the Mechanics ones, that we will use wherever we go.

And I swear to you one day that I will have an honest to God grappling hook even though I have quite a fear of heights.

What do you recommend to have? And what do you carry on you or wear?

You'd understand it if you were there.

This has been asked 60000 times (60001 counting this thread) so please feel free to use search and you'll find a ton on this very subject.

Ta!

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.
