| | | East Coast Tour < on 8/25/2010 3:50 AM >
| | | Hey everyone! A friend and I will be doing a tour of mostly abandoned hospitals/schools on the East Coast this fall. I was wondering if there are any must-sees? I have some on my list already but I still would like some help with this research. Thanks a TON. And, NO... I'm not just looking for handouts. I do my own research but I'm just looking for a bit of help with this. That's all. [last edit 8/25/2010 3:12 PM by coopersvictim - edited 1 times]

| | | Matteawan State Hospital. I really dug that place; you will too! Just takes a little ingenuity to get into, but I have faith that you can do it.

| | | Posted by Neptune I think all the "must sees" are pretty common/public knowledge. If you come all the way up to Maine, I might be able to find something for you to see.
|
Not common with me since I'm from Chicago and never really thought I'd head up East for anything. I only know about a handful of "must sees".

| | | There are 3 near Rochester and 2 by Buffalo but they are all too difficult to bother with. There is a certain Castle in Steuben County that is accessible and was briefly used as an asylum.

What buildings are left that are worth stopping for? I drive by there on my way to work every day and as far as I can see they tore everything down and that happened like 2 years ago or so. Maybe a few buildings still stand, but it's nothing compared to what it once was.
