| | | First exploration and first posts so be patient while I get up to speed. This is an old burnt out hotel/inn in Sokcho South Korea and represents my first urbex sortie. Successful in that I was spotted by noone and at midday in the densely populated Korea. However, not really much to shoot at as it was pretty well gutted and rubble in most places. I think I've posted this in the wrong area. Please clarify. [last edit 8/12/2010 9:00 AM by Leichenwagen - edited 1 times]

| | | This forum is fine. Either here or photography. I'm planning a trip out to Sokcho at the end of the month. Didn't know about this, but there are two abandoned amusement parks, an abandoned university campus, and a dead airport.

I know the places you are talking about and I think you'll be disappointed as neither are truly abandoned. The Yang Yang International Airport is functional but only rarely has any flights so guards/staff will be present and you might not get any access to anywhere interesting. One amusement park has only a ferris wheel remaining (everything else has been removed) and they light it up at night. It's not really dillapitated. I'm meaning to go out there myself and try a night exposure. As for the other amusement park, I'm not sure where that could be. Oh and the university campus is not abandoned and still functions as a university. Some of their departments have moved to another city thats all.
