Congrats!!

Never would've guessed librarians would be into peeling paint. What's the angle? History month, local talent, it's-just-plain-pretty...?

When was first exhibiting, I did 12" prints (12x12 and 12x18), traditionally framed with white double mattes and a simple smooth finish low profile black frame. If you don't use a matte, you have to mount the image onto something to give it support... which could cost more than if you just matted it. I wouldn't go larger, and I wouldn't more money than necessary into framing. Hell, get some IKEA frames for your first exhibition (though, I would replace their mattes... they suck).

That's some great advice from Yokes.

One other thing worth considering (although it's probably out of your control CB4) is how the space is lit. Whoever is organizing the show can probably get you some details there.

it's not really that kind of a display (i.e. a show) it's a.. "we have a new building, the walls are bare, and we don't want to put generic store bought prints on the wall.. so lets get some local talent in here"..

we live in a VERY artsy town.. so they are trying to draw from some of the local talent... in return for us providing coverings for their walls (2 months I believe) we can put our cards by the artwork and people can contact us for purchases.. as they don't want to deal with sales for us.. personally I think its a perfect opportunity for a first time display

It definitely is. Watch your costs, though.
