This used to be the original playing field for the Indy Indians. It is now used for storing vehicles from the C4C or Cash 4 Clunkers.

You didn't go into the manager's office? It's the coolest part of Bush!

Unfortunately I didn't when I was there, with it housing the vehicles there, I knew the police were watching the place very closely, fortunately at the time, the entry point was wide open, however, as I was leaving, a guy on his bike approached the entry gate while I was inside, he was very cool and all, but after I left, he probably told the police the stadium gates were open & they bolted the door.

the door's bolted now?

we walked in and out in front of people when we went and no one seemed to care. we were in there briefly while they were loading cars onto a trailer once, too. they didn't see us, though. we were watching them from the roof.

some of the cars start, but they don't run very well at all. no impromptu demolition derby, which is for the best anyway. ;)

Are those pictures recent? I'm only curious because I thought "Cash for Clunkers" mandated they be destroyed within some short period like 90 days or six months, something like that. Which just emphasizes what a stupid program that was anyway; there are probably a lot of cars there which are newer/nicer than the one I currently drive but they're being flattened at taxpayer expense. What a waste.

I was here about 3 weeks ago and they where in the process of loading the cars on trucks and removing them. They moved a good chunk of those cars within the few days I was there.

If I was really created in God’s image then when God was a boy he wanted to grow up to be a man, a good man, and when God was a man, a good man, he started telling the truth in order to get honest responses.

These photos along with many others were taken on May 30th. Even though it was on a Sunday, while I was there on the bleachers, a forklift entered the North side to move some vehicles around, fortunately, I have lightening reflexes & dodged under a row of bleachers & moved my way down to the other end, & got out of there fast.

Yes, I found alot of Newer modeled vehicles around the 03ish year. I was surprised to see them, Like a 03 Astro van for instance. I think people traded their vehicles thinking they were getting a good deal but really got ripped off.

Yeah, I though of pulling some parts off them there vehicles.. But the ground is to muddy and all - I actually parked at a nearby Hotel, then walked the entire train trestle which is barely used to get there.

you can just park in the parking lot there. nobody really seemed to pay attention to the place at all. i wouldn't park right next to the building, but anywhere in that huge lot should be fine. people were parking there to go on the walking path, so it's not very suspicious. =)

The last time I went, I just parked in the parking lot and walked right in. When I left, the EMS manager was sitting in his/her vehicle right outside the door. I just acted like I was supposed to be there. About ten minutes after I came out, a guy on a bike came out also, (kinda pissed me off, when I was in there I thought I heard someone else but couldn't find anybody, must be he was hiding good) the EMS manager was still sitting there, and nobody got in any trouble that day. I think that unless you get a dick of a cop or a passer-by who cares a little too much, you are allright.

Any word on what is going to happen to this ballpark? Has it been used for anything else besides storing clunkers since it was last used for baseball in 1996? I'm surprised the seats & bleachers are still there.

For a few years, it was used for dirt-track auto racing.
