My first explore occurred when I was about 10. My friend and I had heard about a tunnel under a bridge that used to run a train, I'm horrible with lengths but it was long enough to be nearly pitch black once you walked a dozen feet in. It was full of trash, mattresses, some circuit box thinga-mapjigg, and a book. I've always been a veracious reader, so I picked it up, put it in my bag and we kept walking. There was way too much water when we got deeper in, and I was worried some gross parasite would burrow under my toenails and then I'd have to get my leg amputated, so we turned back. It wasn't until later that night that I remembered it, so I took it out, and leafed through it.
It turned out not being a book, per say, but a planner filled with disgusting and disturbing doodles of genitalia, and dead things. I can only remember a few specifics for dates, but one was listed as the owners birthday, and it said that they wanted "a diary bound in human bitch skin HAHAHAHAHAHA", and the one thing I will never forget is a picture, of a naked girl bound and gagged on a couch. The back was filled with writing, it said something along the lines of "I don't know when I'll be done with her, her screams are not enough, I fucked her for hours" weird shit. Well my friends mother found it and threw it out and got really worried about me, but thankfully never told my mother.
My most recent find was shell casings from a machine gun outside an insane asylum. This one is open to the public- you just can't go inside any of the buildings. Parts of Shutter Island were filmed there, so I assume they are from the movie, because the shells are from 1970+ and it was closed in 1903 (I think)
