"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear." ~Ambrose Redmoon

Oh and here's another quote you might find useful:

"Panic at the thought of doing a thing is a challenge to do it." ~Henry S. Haskins

Nice work, and that's a sweet location. Courage paid off. ;)

That's impressive enough that your car almost went over the edge of a mountain and you STILL went on let alone the climbing part. Love the valley views in VA so much.

Wow, that is amazing.. great work. reminds me of an "abandonment" i once visited with a friend. Wed checked it out two or three times the only way in was to scale a rock wall and then climb through a barely wrigglable through hole in the fence. we were debating if we could pull it off and i turned away for a second and turned back to see my friend already through the whole. so needless to say I was required to try and somehow got through only to realize getting back out would be wayyy harder. Almost shit myself trying to get down. The worst part was we got up and in only to see a portapotty with a last serviced date of one week prior... oops. turned out it was an active riverboat station of some sort. Anyway i got down feeling like I conquered the world, its a great feeling overcoming a fear.

We're sorta like 7-Eleven. We're not always doing business, but we're always open.

Freakin sweet story man. Great find, and what a journey almost losing everything, having to bail out, and still reaping a good find at the top. Great share.
